About
I’m a London based BI professional specialising in reporting, specifically in Tableau and SSRS; and SQL Server databases, both relational and dimensional for data warehousing.
I started out in BI with Excel spreadsheets and developing Access databases. This has progressed to SQL Server and a variety of reporting tools. I spent a couple of years developing dashboards in Xcelsius, next I learnt SSRS and now I’m becoming an expert user of Tableau.
This blog is for me to keep a record of things I’ve learnt, things that I found difficult, things I often return to, a general repository of BI things which I have found useful. Over time this will cover SQL code, SSRS tips, Tableau report/dashboard development and whatever else would be good to have written down. Hopefully someone else will also find some of this benefits their work.
I’ll be updating this whenever I find something that could be of some use to me in the future so could be a few times a week, could be only every month or so, all depends how much I’m learning at the time.
